In August 2018 we hosted a “(Back to) Schoolin Life Dinner Party" in State College, PA. This event was an opportunity to celebrate the exciting, back-to-school season with Schoolin Life! The evening began with a cocktail hour featuring the night's signature drink, a white wine and blood orange sangria, and a charcuterie board including local cheeses and fruit spreads. On the menu was an intimate, three-course, family-style dinner crafted from recipes by our favorite chef and former Schoolin Life guest, Angela “The Kitchenista” Davis. Our dinner table conversations covered vulnerability, the importance of “letting people in,” and leveraging vulnerability to increase compassion and connection with others. The women involved built truly deep connections and can’t wait for the next Schoolin Life event!

We Leveled Up!

On Sunday, September 30, we leveled up our life and looks with a roundtable hosted by the Ann Taylor LOFT State College store. We discussed what our closet says about us, how what we wear impacts how we feel about ourselves, and what we can do to be more intentional about dressing for success. We also talked about where we shop, who our style icons are, and our style level-up goals. In addition to enjoying great conversation, we sipped sangria, and shopped until we dropped (all attendees received deep discounts on what they purchased during the evening)! This event was also sponsored by Black Girl Magic so all attendees also went home with official Black Girl Magic apparel and mugs.
